Travel by Public Transportation

Metra’s ICG (Illinois Central Gulf) line will take you directly to and from McCormick Place. A Metra station is located in the Illinois Center (adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel) on Randolph Street. Travel by Car

McCormick Place on the Lake is located at 23rd Street and South Lake Shore Drive. Following are directions to McCormick Place 31st St. Parking:

• From Midway Airport, St. Louis or from the southern suburbs:
  • Take I-55 Stevenson Expressway to Lake Shore Drive south.
  • Exit at 31st Street to the McCormick Place parking area.
• From the West: Take I-290 Eisenhower Expressway to Congress Street, to Columbus Drive. This merges with Lake Shore Drive. Exit at 16th Street.
• From Downtown Area: Take Columbus Drive to Lake Shore Drive South, to 16th or 31st Street, right into parking area.
• From Southbound Lake Shore Drive: Continue south on Lake Shore Drive to the 16th Street entrance. Keep right. Cabs and buses also use this entrance.
• From 31st Street: Take 31st Street to Moe Street, west of Lake Shore Drive, make a left turn.
• Northbound Lake Shore Drive: Exit at 31st Street, make a left turn at the traffic light, go over the bridge, turn right on to Moe Street.
• From Milwaukee or O’Hare Airport: Take the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) south to I-55 (Stevenson) east, to Lake Shore Drive south. Continue south to 31st Street. Turn right for parking.
• From the Dan Ryan Expressway: Travel north to I-55 (Stevenson) east, to Lake Shore Drive south. Continue south to 31st Street. Turn right for parking.

Shuttle Bus

Shuttle bus service is available between select hotels and McCormick Place during peak hours of 7:30 – 11 a.m. and 3 – 6:30 p.m. Service will be provided throughout the day to CDS co-headquarters properties. The shuttle bus pickup points will be clearly marked in the hotel lobbies.

GOLD Route		GATE 31—Hyatt Regency/Swissôtel/All Day Service Hyatt Regency Chicago/Swissôtel: Wacker Drive entrance of the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel. Runs continually approximately every 15-20 minutes from 7:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
GREEN Route		GATE 32—Fairmont/All-Day Service Fairmont Hotel: Lower garage level, Lake St. Runs approximately every 15-20 minutes from 7:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
BLUE Route		GATE 33—Sheraton/Hotel Intercontinental Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers: SW corner of Columbus Dr. and North Water St.; Hotel InterContinental: Illinois St. Runs from 7:30-11 a.m. and from 3-6:30 p.m.
ORANGE Route		GATE 34—Westin River North/Renaissance Chicago: Wacker Drive entrance. Runs from 7:30-11 a.m. and from 3-6:30 p.m.
RED Route		GATE 34—Chicago Hilton and Towers/Palmer House Chicago Hilton & Towers: 8th Street entrance. Palmer House Hilton: Wabash Street entrance. Runs from 7:30-11 a.m. and from 3-6:30 p.m.
SILVER Route		GATE 38—Chicago Marriott/Allerton Hotel Chicago/Omni Omni Chicago Hotel and Allerton Hotel Chicago: Huron Street. Runs from 7:30-11 a.m. and from 3-6:30 p.m.

Parking Alert

Because more than one event is held at McCormick Place, parking availability may be limited. You may wish to park your car at one of the Midwinter Meeting hotels (see page 24) and use the free shuttle service. Please arrive early, allowing ample time for travel within the McCormick Place complex. Late-comers are not guaranteed seats at any F course, even those for which they have pre-registered.

Special Transportation

Special transportation will be available for visitors who have handicapped conditions. Vans are available between the designated Midwinter Meeting hotels and McCormick Place Thursday through Sunday, Feb. 26-March 1, on an arranged basis. For service, see the shuttle bus dispatcher on duty at the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel or call McCormick Place directly at 312.251.3100 between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. All private charters and other non-official CDS transportation will be designated another gate.
